CHALLENGE:

Develop a response that brings Gen Z to the eBay marketplace to sell their preloved items. 

GOAL:

Empower the next generation of sellers through a brand campaign.

eBay faces a critical challenge in adapting to the preferences and expectations of the emerging Gen Z consumer demographic. The existing platform lacks a dedicated space for this tech-savvy and sustainability-conscious generation. The absence of a tailored hub hinders eBay's ability to engage and empower Gen Z buyers and sellers effectively.

The primary goal is to address these challenges by launching the MeBay campaign, establishing a unique Gen Z-centric hub on eBay. This initiative aims to create a vibrant community that fosters a sense of belonging, personal expression, and individuality among Gen Z buyers and sellers. MeBay seeks to engage and empower the next generation of sellers through success stories, tutorials, and tips, creating a supportive environment for newcomers.

Through the MeBay campaign, eBay endeavors to not only address the identified challenges but also position itself as a leader in catering to the evolving preferences of the Gen Z market.
