MODERN MINORITY
BRANDING / VISUAL IDENTITY
MISSION:
Empower the British Asian community through authentic storytelling and diverse perspectives.
SOLUTION:
Create a podcast platform that fosters unity, understanding, and cultural connection.
INSPIRATION:
The rise of xenophobia post-COVID-19 and the need for media that challenges harmful stereotypes.
The rise of xenophobia in the UK following the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted a significant gap in media representation for the British Asian community, especially among Gen Z. Existing platforms fail to provide an inclusive space that reflects the diverse experiences and challenges faced by this group. The lack of authentic, relatable narratives in mainstream media contributes to ongoing stereotypes and misunderstandings.
This project seeks to fill that gap by launching the Modern Minority podcast, a dedicated platform amplifying the voices of Gen Z British Asians. By sharing authentic stories and offering diverse perspectives, the podcast aims to foster unity, challenge stereotypes, and promote cultural understanding. Each episode will tackle topics ranging from identity and heritage to social issues, creating a supportive community where all voices are heard.
Through Modern Minority, we aim to not only address the issue of underrepresentation but also reshape public perceptions, empowering the British Asian community and bridging cultural divides in the process.
